I have always been interested in fashion trend from a young age from watching fashion brand advertisement and fashion shows on television, reading the fashion magazines, and looking at many apparel retail stores. In addition, my mother was fashion designer, so I grew up with fashion because I saw her works and her working space was my playground. So, I am familiar with apparel industry environment. The course I have chosen to do at university is apparel merchandising because I want to learn about the fashion industry and fashion trend deeply.

 

In apparel merchandising, I would love to be able to forecast fashion due to the face this is one of the main reasons I would like to pursue a career in fashion merchandising. I like to look fashion forecasting Web sites such as WGSN or Pantone to figure out current fashion trend and next season trend.

 

I fall in love with fashion because it is the best way to express myself without having to speak, show my idea and make me see thing different way like color, pattern, shape and texture.

 

I would like to work in fashion forecasting in fashion retail brand store because it will allow me to gain great experience.

 

I worked in big Korean fashion retail department in China, which has headquarters in Korea. I did merchandising and displaying in department store and did retail math in headquarter.

 

My career goal is to be buying merchandiser in famous brand such as Prada, Chanel and Burberry, who pick trendy goods from headquarters to Korea. The reason why I want to be buying merchandiser is because I can utilize my fashion forecasting ability, and can use my English, which is my second language through this job.

 

I have great skills to treat Photoshop and Illustration because I have official certification of Photoshop and Illustration certified from Adobe. My others skills are knowledge of Microsoft Office, having great sense of window displaying, store displaying, styling and merchandising, and good at retail math.
